Usage Instructions

A. Preparing the hair:

• 1. Shampoo the hair and towel dry. (do not condition).
• 2. Apply petroleum jelly or aqueous cream to skin around hairline.

B. Perming:

• 1. Divide the hair into 6 main sections top back - sides - middle from crown to forehead side parting to ear - middle crown to nape crown towards ear sides
• 2. Starting with the top middle section, part the hair off in sections the same width as the selected curler.
• 3. Fold an end paper around each section of hair, covering the ends completely.
• 4. Place a curler under the ends, and wind towards the scalp.
• 5. Fasten each curler carefully and ensure that there is minimal tension on the root sections.
• 6. Continue winding until the whole head is complete.
• 7. Cut the tip off the bottle marked "perm lotion", apply perm lotion evenly, ensuring that each curler is thoroughly saturated.
• 8. Cover hair with a plastic cap/bag, and process for 12 to 18 minutes.

C. Test-curls:

• 1. To take a test curl, unwind the hair gently, ensuring that no tension is applied to the hair.
• 2. Once an s-wave is observed you must use your own initiative depending on the intensity of curl you desire.

D. Rinsing:

• 1. Do not remove the curlers.
• 2. When the hair is ready to be rinsed, you must adhere to one of the following procedures: (a) Handshower-rinse thoroughly for 5 minutes with luke-warm water. (b) No handshower-rinse with a jug, (using clean water all the time), for 10 minutes with luke-warm water.
• 3. Once rinsing is complete, wrap a towel around the head to blot all excess water. Do not remove curlers.

E. Neutralising:

• 1. Cut the tip off the bottle marked "neutraliser" and apply evenly, ensuring that each curler is thoroughly saturated. Nb: Save one quarter of the neutraliser for later use.
• 2. leave to process for 5 minutes.
• 3. once the neutralising time is complete, gently remove all curlers.
• 4. Gently apply the neutraliser that you have set aside to the unwound curls.
• 5. Leave to process for a further 5 minutes.
• 6. Rinse thoroughly and towel dry.
• 7. Apply kair conditioner, leave on for 1-2 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
• 8. Apply the enclosed replenishing lotion and comb through. Do not rinse off. style as usual :
